WHATEVER YOU DO ON YOUR WEDDING DAY, DO NOT USE THIS HAIR TOOL

Hair Queen, Natalie Ann worked her magic at The Bridal Bazaar creating the stunning hairstyles for the runway; so we just had to ask her about tips and trends for this season’s brides … and the one thing brides should NOT be doing to their hair on the Big Day.

This season, Natalie Ann says it’s all about enhanced ready-to-wear looks, aim for a romantic feel and add a bohemian touch to curls, buns and ponys. For the brides who are a little nervous about colouring their hair for their big day? Natalie Ann says adding highlights gives a beautiful appearance of texture and depth.

“This season encompasses a variety of ‘sun kissed’ colours, specifically balayage and ombre styles. I like to give a bride pre-wedding colour in order to compliment the wedding style,” she says.

As for deciding on a hairstyle? … Natalie Anne advises brides-to-be to do a little research about the type of styles they like.

“We then discuss their preferred looks and alter them to suit the bride’s facial structure and style,” she says.

However she says it’s also important for brides to be comfortable with the way their hair is styled for their big day, and so they should be aware of how they like to wear their hair on a day-to-day basis and “expose” that.

Natalie Ann reveals she doesn’t like to follow rules when it comes to bridesmaids, except one of course “to ensure every client feels sexy after their styling session.”

And some tips for the big day … it’s best for brides and bridesmaids to wash and blow-dry their hair the night before the event.

Brides-to-Be, do not use any heated tools such as irons to straighten your hair on the morning of the wedding. Natalie Anne says that this will damage and set your hair straight, which makes it difficult to rework.
