REAL WEDDING: HOLLY AND SANJIV

Sometimes a bride and groom need more than one wedding to celebrate their union – and who are we to stop them? This was the case for Holly and Sanjiv, who had an intimate destination wedding in the Caribbean, but decided they needed to continue the festivities with their 300 family and friends back in Washington DC.

Holly and Sanjiv’s second reception was like walking into a quirky small-town carnival held at an Indian bazaar. A surprising combination that worked really well!

The room was designed to emulate a colourful marketplace with wooden booths placed around the room, each offering guests something different – a cozy space with lounges, a place to play games and food stations.  Each booth was accessorised with lush, colorful fabrics and string lights

The coloured lights and florals were designed to emulate a South-Asian flair with shades of plum, deep burgundy, antique gold, copper and royal blue and accents of ostrich and peacock feathers. The décor included exotic touches, such as hanging jewels, tropical foliage and succulents.
