REAL WEDDING: ANH AND KIM

Kim who is from Norway and Anh from Sydney, initially met online back in 1999 and instantly clicked! After almost 3 years of online chatter Kim came to visit Anh in Sydney to tell her he had fallen in love with her. However, as they were both only in their early 20’s at the time and living on opposite sides of the world they accepted they couldn’t have a future together … Fast forward 11 years to  2013 when they reconnected … and the rest is history.

Anh told Wedded Wonderland “I am so thankful we found each other again. I never dreamed that
I would be able to spend the rest of my life with Kim, my one true love.”

Kim proposed at Bondi Beach where they had their first kiss. On the day of the proposal Kim handed Anh a letter which read; “When you were born, the stars were all aligned and I believe our destiny was from then affined. You were born so perfect Anh, and I would be the happiest in the whole world if you say yes and let me be your man. Eleven years ago, after a walk on this beach we had our first kiss. Today, after a walk on this beach I’m asking you to be my wife. Anh my love, will you marry me.” At that point he dropped down on one knee and proposed!

Any and Kim wanted their wedding to be small, yet detailed and pure. The couple decided the only person who could bring their wedding vision to life was Benita from BNT Management. “Her passion, eye for detail and attentiveness had me from the word go. And did she bring it! She brought us up to the heavens!”

On the day of their wedding, Kim being a lover of books and colonial style, was lucky enough to find a private library to prepare for the big day, whilst Anh chose  The Langham for her bridal preparations, “for its warm, plush  feel.”

Anh wanted her wedding gown to be ethereal, and she knew the only person who could create that for her was Steven Khalil.

“Being short and petite I would always look up to taller body shapes and dream of how womanly and effortless they looked in long dresses. I always felt like I was drowning in long dresses and was very awkward and self conscious. Steven changed all of that for me from day one – he gave me self confidence and made me feel so glamorous.”

The styling and theme of their wedding was classic, simple and understated, with whites and hints of blush colour throughout.  The reception was soft and romantic, with soft ambient lighting created by dreamy candles and lanterns on the terrace against the stunning backdrop of Sydney Harbour.

Anh told Wedded Wonderland the most memorable moment of the wedding day was walking towards her husband to be and saying their vows.

We are in awe of this incredible wedding, which truly showcases the beauty of a Sydney wedding! Enjoy Fairies. x
