Paris Hilton Lost Her $2 Million Engagement Ring While Dancing In A Club

In the latest from the lives of the rich and famous, hotel heiress and original reality TV queen Paris Hilton lost her $2 million diamond engagement ring while she was living it up at a Miami nightclub.

According to Page Six, Paris and her fiance, Chris Zylka, were dancing in the uber-packed RC Cola Plant in Miami when the ring somehow managed to fly off of her hand and somewhere into the pit of sweaty club-goers.

A witness said, “Paris was dancing with her hands in the air, and the next minute her giant ring had flown off. She was really panicked as the venue was packed and very dark, it was the early hours of the morning and it was crazy in there.”

We assume that the 20-carat ring weighs a fair bit, so the realisation set in quickly and Paris immediately had her security team scour the room.

“Security started an exhaustive search of the VIP area with torches, led by Chris and with the help of other patrons. There was a frantic scramble with everyone looking for it, people were crawling on the floor, under tables, under other people’s feet, and under seats. Miraculously they found the ring in an ice bucket two tables down.”

Two things stand out here: 1) The ring itself looks like a piece of ice, so how they spotted it is a miracle. 2) It’s comforting to know that no one chose to steal such an expensive ring, right?

The witness told Page Six, “Paris cried with relief when it was safely back on her finger.”

Paris and Chris got engaged last December, with Chris hiring celebrity jeweller Michael Greene to make the $2 million giant after hearing Paris say how much she loved her mother Kathy’s pear-shaped ring.

Although Paris hasn’t commented on the incident, Above & Beyond – who were playing at the club – tweeted about it, saying:

One time the same thing happened to me, except it was a McNugget at a Maccas birthday party, so I guess it wasn’t the same thing.
