NYBFW: CLAIRE PETTIBONE

Claire Pettibone‘s ‘Gothic Angel’ couture bridal collection is the living reality for all boho brides seeking effortless romance.

Held at New York’s historical boutique hotel The Highline, the stained glass windows and breathtakingly high cathedral ceilings set the scene perfectly. Large burning candles in glass votives lined the staircase to the entrance of the show with vines and jewel coloured flowers wrapping around the banisters and draping along the stairs.

Crochet, embroidered low and keyhole back gowns complimented with wide billowy sleeves and sequin accents added a touch of enchanted medieval glamour.

Flattering empire waist lines allowed the models to glide down the runway with ease and elegance. Lace trims and silk linings with overlays of intricate lace and beading had the rows upon rows of fashion packed guests snapping away from the front, to the back and side of the heavenly gowns.

The models’ hair was softly wrapped into soft braids and swept into loose and undone updos.

However the one thing we couldn’t keep our eyes off was the collection’s intricate scalloped lace hems. Gets us every time.
