When the Big Day eventually arrives, we’re giddy with excitement – nothing can spoil that moment… Until the best man gets down on one knee and proposes to his partner at your reception!
What a disaster.
Instead of the Bride taking centre stage, she’s left by the wayside, congratulating the new couple; it’s definitely not the fairy-tale ending she was expecting.
So here are five reasons why proposals DO NOT belong at a wedding.
1. Attention Grabbing
There are 364 other days left in the year there’s really no reason you NEED to propose on this particular day!
2. Save the Drama for a Soap Opera
I mean how devastating and embarrassing would it be if it all went wrong and she said no.
3. It’s Not Your Fairy-Tale
Wedding planning is expensive and time consuming. I’m sure the couple want this day to go according to plan.
4. Once in a Lifetime
I don’t think the Bride and Groom want to forever remember your proposal every time they think about their special day.
5. It’s All About You
Having to share such a significant milestone with so many other people, can diminish the importance of such an enchanting moment.
If all else fails and you’re adamant on proposing at a Wedding, make sure you get permission from the Bride and Groom first!
