How To Propose To Your Bridesmaids

Your partner might have finally gotten the hint and popped the big question, but now it’s your time as a bride-to-be to carry out a proposal – to your bridesmaids of course!

Asking your closest girlfriends to help you on your big day is a special moment, so it’s the perfect opportunity to make it count and go big and bold. The crazier the idea, the more memorable the moment will be, so don’t hold back Fairies!

To help get you inspired, we’ve found our favourite ways to propose to bridesmaids, so get scrolling, and get creative!

1. Cookie Proposal

The only thing better than a surprise is a surprise that you can eat, so of course, fortune cookies are the way to go here!

Get your girls together and either order fortune cookies with customised messages or get your bake on and make your own. Whichever option you choose, it’ll be a wonderful way to ask them the other big question.

2. Sweet-Scented Surprise

A great way to propose is with candles, but not with any ordinary ones. No, to make it special, go for a customised candle, so you can have the name of your girl, and the words, ‘Will you be my bridesmaid?’ on it too.

You can even go that one step further and get a different scent for each bridesmaid, depending on what you think she’ll prefer best, or what scent reminds of you her. It’s personal and thoughtful, and certainly not a gift anyone is likely to forget.

3. Jewellery Love

You can never go wrong with jewellery, so gifting it to your girlfriends is a great idea that they’ll be sure to love.

We’re obsessed with anything punny, so a piece of jewellery that features a knot and accompanied with the question, ‘Will you help me tie the knot?’ is, in our humble opinion, absolute genius.

Alternatively, any jewellery that features your bridesmaids’ names or initials is also a sweet idea, so the opportunities are endless!

4. Balloons

A fun and sweet surprise, balloons are a brilliant way to propose to your girlfriends. There’s so many different options to go with here, but whatever you choose, it’ll be loved by all – and prove to be a brilliant instagrammable moment.

5. Gift Box

Put together a cute little gift box for your nearest and dearest to ask them for a little help on your big day. A little care pack to help them cope with being your bridesmaid is a fun twist, or, if you’re being extra generous, you can put together all four of the above ideas into the one for a killer surprise!
