Could This French Designer Be Behind Meghan Markle’s Wedding Dress?

We’re all suckers for weddings – especially when it comes to the Royals.

Ever since the announcement of Prince Harry and Meghan Markle’s engagement, the WW fairies have been poised to break all the deets. Rejoice because we have scored!

French designer and long-time friend of Meghan Markle, Roland Mouret is possibly the chosen one for the most talked about wedding dress of the year.

On Wednesday night, during the debut of ‘Une Chambre en Ville’ and his first fragrance, ‘Une Amourette’, Mouret told the New York Post:

“Meghan knows really well what she likes and the main thing with Meghan is to listen to her and work in collaboration with her, I’ve already said too much!”

That’s the biggest hint so far and we’re already fangirling.

We don’t think he’s said too much at all.

Mouret is no stranger to the stars, having recently dressed Michelle Obama.

“To be honest, I never dressed her during her time as the first lady so it was such an amazing surprise for me to see her in the trousers … she has an effortless attitude that I really love.”

Vogue is definitely considering Mouret as a potential candidate whilst also keeping us in the know for other possibilities:

“We’d cheer for a lesser-known London designer, like Erdem or Emilia Wickstead. But a few sources are already insisting that Markle chose Ralph and Russo, the British couture house behind the (somewhat scandalous) gown she wore in her official engagement photos.”

Meghan Markle is marrying into British royalty, so it is de rigueur to wear British designer.

But if we know anything about the latest royal, she’s all about breaking the rules.
