An International Affair With A James Bond Slow Dance

When a bride wants an intimate wedding with only 80 guests but the groom wants to invite 400, things can get a little complicated. Luckily for our couple, Victoria and Nareg, a compromise was reached with 250 people attending, allowing them to still have the wedding of their dreams.

These two lovebirds first met in New York City, where Victoria was finishing her Master’s Program and Nareg was doing his residency.

The day before Thanksgiving, Nareg begged Victoria to head out to dinner with him and his family. Little did she know that he was planning to propose.

“I was tired and grumpy and I was wearing a poncho! I really didn’t want to go at the time, but I’m so glad I did. I just wish I was better dressed for the occasion…”

With a modern fairy tale theme, this wedding was as beautiful and regal as the couple could have hoped for. Keeping it simple with white and gold, there was an incredible attention to detail to every element of the wedding. Even the cake and invitations had the same gold foil theme.

“We added candles to bring a romantic glimmer and sparkle. The bridesmaids were wearing beige and the flowers ranged between white and cream. Even though every moment of planning was stressful, finalising all the details is something I’ll actually miss. The night truly does end too quickly, and you just wish you could reverse time and live through it all again.”

The night was also an international affair, with guests arriving from France, Russia, Ukraine, Australia, New Zealand, England and Armenia.

For Victoria, her favourite part of the night was the completely unrehearsed first dance.

“We just went for it. We chose a James Bond theme song from Spectre that still gives the both of us chills when we hear it. It was magical. It felt like time had stopped for a couple of moments.”

Congratulations to the gorgeous couple!
