An All-White Wedding With A Romantic Entrance

Many brides tend to be able to catch on to their partner’s plans for a proposal, but for Sharis, it was a huge surprise when Arvin popped the big question, and she certainly wasn’t expecting it at all.

“It was the most magical moment ever, and I’m pretty sure everyone says the same thing, but when it finally happens to you, you understand what everyone meant.”

Having known for her whole life what her dream wedding was, planning the big day came easily to Sharis. With a romantic and whimsical theme, the bride opted for an all-white wedding.

“All my family and friends always complain about how much I like the colour black. As much as I do love it, I just knew I didn’t want it to be in any part of my wedding day. Even my bridesmaid’s dresses were an off-white colour, and if I could’ve found dresses in white, then I would’ve chosen them.”

Sharis worked alongside her planner, Teny of Mod About Events, and Eddie of Tic Tock Florals in order to really bring her dream wedding to fruition.

One of Sharis’ favourite moments of the day was right before she walked into the reception with her new husband.

“Right before the doors opened and the drums started playing, Arvin looked at me and said, ‘are you ready?’ and then gave me the most romantic kiss ever. I get major chills just remembering the exact moment.”

Although the wedding was a magical night for this couple to remember, Sharis did experience a major hiccup along the way. After having dropped a large amount of weight, her wedding dress was too big to fit her, which she only discovered on the night of the wedding!

“One of the seamstresses at Lovella Bridal came to the Renaissance to sew my dress together, I sat naked in the bridal room and patiently waited for my dress to be fixed. I am forever grateful to Lovella Bridal for coming to my rescue. They honestly made me feel so much more comfortable. A word of advice for any future brides; have your final fitting no longer than one and a half weeks before your wedding day.”

Congratulations to the happy couple, Arvin and Sharis!
