A Regal Wedding With A Special Guest

When Richard proposed to Lara, he made sure to pull out all the stops to create the most magical and memorable moment of her life.

During a night out with her best friend at Bondi Icebergs, Lara was approached by a man holding a rose and singing Michael Jackson’s ‘I need you’. More and more singers joined him and led Lara down to Iceberg’s pool until she stood before 30 A capella singers. Richard then appeared, holding a huge bunch of roses, and finally, a drone lowered from the sky with a Cerrone ring box tied to it.

“Richard pulled out a pair of scissors from under his suit jacket, cut the ribbon and got down on one knee, before asking ‘Will you marry me?’ Of course, I said yes! Fireworks with a sign saying ‘Marry me Lara” ignited the Icebergs pool and I looked around to see the patrons of Icebergs restaurant cheering and clapping for us. It was the most surreal night of my life!” said Lara.

The theme of the wedding was classic and timeless, with a hint of regal. With a colour scheme of white and subtle touches of gold, as well as beautiful white floral centrepieces and chandeliers, the reception was an absolute vision.

According to Lara, she and her soon-to-be husband wanted their wedding day to feel intimate, and seeing friends and family dancing and coming together to celebrate this occasion with them was truly special.

It was also an incredible moment for Lara, as she was able to have her 94-year-old grandfather with her. Unfortunately, he passed away shortly after the wedding, but seeing the smile on his face and how genuinely happy he was to be part of the special day is something Lara will forever cherish.

Congratulations to Richard and Lara!
