A Modern White Wedding at GOMA

“I always wanted a blank canvas for our dream wedding so we could create something magical.”

Taking place at the Gallery of Modern Art, Mindy and Luke’s wedding was everything they hoped it would be. Having always dreamed of a simple white wedding with touches of copper, Mindy described their wedding as modern and elegant with a “Wow Factor.”

Filled with crisp white blooms, green foliage, and hints of copper, the wedding was a bright and light affair, striking the perfect balance between simplicity and glamour.

With GOMA overlooking Brisbane’s CBD, the overcast day did little to dampen the mood of the couple, and they welcomed the light sprinkling of rain as a sign of good luck, even as they strolled the Cultural Precinct for their photos.

“Luke and I decided to go over to Powerhouse for our own photoshoot and it was the most perfect time to take a step back from all of the other guests and realise how happy we were. There was a little sprinkle of rain while we had our pictures and we danced in the rain. It was incredible.”

Their large bridal party also helped to brighten the cloudy day, with one of the more memorable moments being when the Maid of Honour entered the reception with the Groomsman on her back and dropped him on the dancefloor.

As they listened to their loved ones speeches and danced the night away, Mindy and Luke were bursting with love and joy.

“It was such a warm and fuzzy feeling, you can’t explain.”
