A Modern And Edgy Wedding At The Hyatt Regency Sydney

For Christina and Emil, it really was all about timing. Although mutual friends introduced them on a boat in Sydney Harbour, it just wasn’t meant to be at first. But when their paths crossed again on that special Valentine’s Day in 2016, their perfect love story finally began.

While visiting friends in the Bahamas, Emil organised a special couples retreat for Christina.

“He actually hired a private island in the Exuma Islands to pop the question! I had always told him that I was never a girl who enjoyed attention and so if we were to ever get engaged, I always wanted it to be just the two of us. I guess he took that and ran with it!”

“We share similar values around so many different aspects of life, including family, work and travel. It was just right.”

With the Hyatt Regency Sydney as their venue, Christina and Emil’s wedding was a perfect masterpiece.

“The venue had just been refurbished and it was a blank canvas with amazing finishes for us to work with and incorporate our own style. Since it had such a simple, yet elegant design, we were able to go with white florals and a black base.”

Working closely with planner and stylist Noel Nassar and florist Azariade, Christina’s subtle style was brought to a statement level. With a modern and edgy look for her flowers, down to her gorgeously BIG Steven Khalil dress, Christina’s bridal dreams came to life.

The night was perfect and thanks to the Hyatt Regency, it was one that everyone was able to enjoy.

“A Hyatt Regency staff member offered me a pair of slippers at the very end of the evening. She even sat me down and helped me take my beautiful heels off. That was so unexpected, but such a great surprise! It was definitely something I’d never forget.”

“Definitely consider the Grand Ballroom at the Hyatt Regency for your future event. The venue, staff and service were all great.”

With 12 months of planning, this wedding was a sure success.

Congratulations to Christina and Emil!
