A FRENCH CHATEAU WEDDING THAT WILL TAKE YOUR BREATH AWAY

Rob and Krystal were an unlikely couple, having grown up on opposite sides of the world and from vastly different cultural backgrounds, it was inconceivable that their paths would cross. However, fate had other plans, after both their careers brought them to Hong Kong and their lives changed forever.

“I was immediately drawn to Rob’s confidence, boyish charm and warm smile, though in that moment I never expected that he would eventually become my best friend and life partner. Over the years we have had the opportunity to travel the world together, sharing many adventures and new experiences. It was on one such trip, in a secluded bay along the Great Ocean Road in Australia, where Rob asked me to marry him. It was without a doubt that I said yes,” Krystal told Wedded Wonderland.

Coming from a large family, Rob had always envisaged having a big, traditional wedding. On the other hand, Krystal was a reluctant bride and had always imagined eloping. After much debate and consideration they finally agreed to host an intimate affair in the dream destination of France.

From the very beginning Krystal knew that she wanted a modern take on a Gatsby-inspired wedding from her gown through to the decor. With this in mind the couple and their wedding planner set out to make the entire reception sparkle with crystal chandeliers and spheres installed for the occasion, transparent ghost chairs and custom gold sequins table linens.   Krystal worked with her wedding dress designer for a year to bring her vision to life, donning a red carpet worthy couture gown that has left us in awe.

Reflecting back on their special day the couple told Wedded Wonderland the most spectacular moment of their stunning wedding was the fireworks display. “The fireworks were a hit with the guests and there are few times in our relationship where I have seen Rob more excited. They certainly set the tone for the dancing and late night party that followed.”

Be inspired, Fairies!
