7 Ways To Include Pastels For Your Spring Event

It’s time to bid adieu to winter because spring is on the nigh and we’ve never been more ready to welcome it right back. While we can’t deny that winter weddings were stunning to behold with all of their bold and dramatic beauty, and we really did love them, it’s hard not to be excited for the warmer days and all they have to offer.

As we move into spring, darker shades of reds, purples and greys will soften into much more muted tones, and there’ll be plenty of floral prints and accessories to choose from. Where winter colours had their own gorgeous charm, a spring palette offers another look that is delicately pretty and perfect not just for brides, but for every party. Whether you’re holding a baby shower, a 21st, or an engagement party, we’ve put together a list of the different ways you can include pastel colours. Get ready for a range of soft pinks, purples, blues, greens and oranges for the ultimate spring look.

1. Cakes And Desserts

With the endless talent of bakers, even the simplest of desserts can be transformed into the prettiest pieces of art, from hand-painted macrons to edible paper flowers.

Check out the adorable Bambi cake by Sweets by Dooha. If that doesn’t scream spring, we don’t know what will.

2. Invitations

We loved seeing all of the different dark and moody invitations for winter weddings, but they can move aside for now, because spring calls for a completely different look. These floral beauties by Paper Jam Studio and Vinas Invitation are the perfect spring addition.

3. Place Settings

With the right charger plates, cutlery, napkins, and linens, place settings can really elevate an entire room and create the perfect look for your wedding. Check out these gorgeous setups from the talents over in Melbourne.

4. Balloons

Balloon décor is a great way to add a fun and creative flair to your party and the colour schemes to choose from are quite literally endless. There are a number of places that can deck you out with balloons, and here are a few that we’ve picked out.

5. Flower Installations

No, we certainly weren’t going to leave this one out. Floral styling is a big part of a lot of luxe weddings, and the colours can change throughout the different seasons. Spring florals are always beautiful and have a timeless elegance that we think exceeds the other seasons. There are so many local talented florists who can pull off extraordinary looks, but we’re just going to throw in international florist Matthew Landers for some great inspiration.

6. Nails

Now to move away from your event décor, let’s talk all about you. A nice and subtle way to add a little bit of spring pastels to your event is by getting your nails done. It is very subtle, we know, but it’s a cute touch and you can’t really go wrong with it, so why not include it in?

7. Dresses

Is it really a spring party if your dress doesn’t fit the colour scheme? Whether it’s your dress or your bridesmaid’s, choosing softer toned colours and florals is an easy way to create that spring feel without going too overboard.
